Island Architects shall advise and consult with the Owner during the Construction Phase; visit the site at intervals appropriate to the stage of construction to become familiar with the progress and quality of the work to determine, in general, if the work is proceeding in accordance with the Contract Documents; determine the amounts owing to the Contractor; issue Certificates for Payment; render interpretations necessary for the proper execution of the work; review and approve the Contractor's submittals such as shop drawings, product data and samples for conformance with the design concept of the work and with the information given in the Contract Documents; conduct inspections to determine the dates of Substantial Completion and Final Completion; forward to the Owner written warranties and related documents; and issue a final Certificate for Payment.
